Lingering misconceptions among officials and professionals about the safety of rainwater
for drinking can be obstacles to wider acceptance. Many are unaware that well-designed rainwater
harvesting systems can provide safe drinking water, especially in areas with poor groundwater quality.
There’s also a tendency to favour more complex and expensive solutions over simpler, affordable ones
      technologies.
